The President of the Hellenic Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou visited the site of the tragedy in Tempi where two trains collided resulting in the death of at least 42 people and tens of injured. Sakellaropoulou interrupted the official visit to Moldova and landed by plane in Larissa.
The President heard the fire department officials describe the efforts to free passengers, immediately after the collision of the two trains, while she left a few flowers in the wreckage of a carriage in memory of the victims.
Immediately after, the President of the Republic left to visit the two hospitals of Larissa where relatives of the victims and injured are.
