Absolutely terrifying footage of skier falling into ravine (video)

The man was pulled to safety by his friends

Newsroom April 24 05:48

A terrifying video emerged from the Alps showing a skier falling into a ravine.

In the video that has been making the rounds on the internet for the last 24 hours, a skier can be seen who, during his descent down a mountain, falls into a ravine of several meters.

The accident happened on the Meije mountain in France. It is a mountain in the Alps that is chosen by those who prefer off-piste skiing.

As can be seen in the video, the 36-year-old French skier, during the descent, falls into the ravine and after many meters manages to wedge his ski boots into the glacier and finally stops on a protruding piece of ice.

In the comments on his Instagram page, the skier describes how he finally managed to get out of the deep ravine. According to him, the crampon (metal spikes that attach to the boots) and a few meters of rope from his friends were enough to extricate him from the scene.

The incident took place in April 2022 and was recorded by a GoPro camera that the skier had on his helmet, but it was made public five days ago.
