The operation to rescue the Greeks of Sudan and their repatriation is continuing, with the assistance of our country in the transfer of European citizens from foreign countries.

The C-27J departed from Aswan, Egypt, yesterday at 17:10 local time for Djibouti, where it picked up the Romanian and Finnish citizens.

The plane returned to Aswan today at 04:30 local time for refueling. At 06:30 it took off for Aqaba, Jordan, from where it picked up 16 Greeks and one Cypriot national. It took off at 09:00 local time with the final destination Tanagra.
