Elections 2023 – The new government swears in & gets to work (photos) (Upd.2)

With a voluminous file, which contains important elements such as the summary presentation of the ministries and the results of the presidency of the government, the government policy plan for 2023, an overall note with the country’s international obligations as well as the critical operational milestones of the next quarter as well as the annual action plans of the ministries, Kyriakos Mitsotakis handed over the “keys” of the Maximos Palace to the caretaker Prime Minister, Ioannis Sarmas.

Yesterday, Ioannis Sarmas pledged allegiance to the Constitution before Katerina Sakellaropoulou in the credentials room at the Presidential Palace. Archbishop Hieronymos swore in the Prime Minister. Members of Mr. Sarma’s family and more specifically his wife and their two sons were present. They were joined by the Minister of State Vassilis Skouris and the general secretary of the government and professor of law, Eva Papapetropoulos – Taliadourou.

Immediately after The swearing in of the ministers, before the President of the Republic, the first meeting of the cabinet will follow so that the ceremonial hand-over of the ministries will take place. The caretaker government will lead the country to new elections on June 25.
