With a host of international personalities, the “Power Trip” Conference organized by Marie Claire magazine returns more dynamic and more exciting, but above all more essential, than any previous event. The thematic core of this year’s Power Trip is wellness, in the broadest possible sense, and with a special emphasis on mental health.
The title of this year’s Conference (“The Wellness Edition”) accurately captures the exchange of ideas that will take place at Marie Claire’s Power Trip: Quality of Life, breaking down stereotypes and taboos, especially when it comes to mental health issues and hygiene. The finding that the most vulnerable social groups in this regard today are women, people belonging to the so-called “Generation Z”, as well as the youngest of the Millenials, makes pressing the need to highlight and thoroughly analyze the phenomenon of burnout.
As the burnout of women and youth is on the alarming rise worldwide, Marie Claire brings up for discussion at the Power Trip Conference additional aggravating parameters, such as the leaps and bounds of artificial Intelligence. If fears are confirmed that the refinement and spread of chatbots will make social media even more toxic, and even more divisive, the task of those participating in events like Marie Claire’s Power Trip is, first and foremost, to bring relevant issues into the public sphere and encourage open dialogue around them.
In this context, on Tuesday 30 May, thanks to the hosting of the Marie Claire Power Trip at the excellent Cape Sounio Grecotel Boutique Resort, the discussion panels will bring together famous women, with powerful and influential voices and global resonance. Each of the speakers, after all, has personal stories that inspire and move.
Marie Claire’s Power Trip Conference will host the following speakers:
– The adored and multi-awarded Hollywood star Nia Vardalos.
– The Greek woman-symbol of bravery and the will to stand up to an entire establishment in order to put an end to the abuse and the cover-up, Sofia Bekatorou.
