Large explosion rocks checkpoint at US-Canada border

“The FBI is coordinating with our local, state and federal law enforcement partners in this investigation"

Newsroom November 23 02:02

A large explosion was reported on Wednesday at the Rainbow Bridge in Niagara Falls at the U.S.-Canada border, which comes as federal law enforcement officials have warned of increased terrorist threats to the U.S.

WKBW reporter Kristen Miranda reported that the incident involved “a vehicle coming into the U.S.” and that federal authorities were already on scene investigating.

“The FBI Buffalo Field Office is investigating a vehicle explosion at the Rainbow Bridge, a border crossing between the U.S. and Canada in Niagara Falls,” the FBI said in a statement. “The FBI is coordinating with our local, state and federal law enforcement partners in this investigation. As this situation is very fluid, that’s all we can say at this time”.
