Mini reshuffle: Chrysochoidis for the Ministry of Citizen Protection, Georgiadis for Ministry of Health

The Prime Minister decided on changes to the government structure, focusing on the Ministry of Citizen Protection

Newsroom January 3 03:33

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has decided to proceed with changes in the government structure. The changes, which will be announced today or tomorrow, have the Ministry of Citizen Protection at the center and are causing wider -but rather small- changes to the government.

The most important change is going to take place in the Ministry of Citizen Protection, in which, according to the information so far, Michalis Chrysochoidis is returning, in the place of Yiannis Oikonomou. At the same time, the Deputy Minister of Citizen Protection, Kostas Katsafados, will be replaced.

According to the same information, the new Minister of Health will be Adonis Georgiadis. For the Ministry of Labor, the Theodoros Roussopoulos is considered more likely. However, the names of the parliamentary representative Kostas Tsiaras are also mentioned, while there is also the scenario of the upgrade of the deputy minister Vassilis Spanakis.
