The title and trademarks of Eleftherotypia Newspaper were auctioned off today for a high price of EUR 8.1 million.
According to information, they were registered to Alter Ego Media S.A., of Vangelis Marinakis’ interests.
The auction concerned the brands Eleftherotypia, Kyriakati Eleftherotypia and the website www.enet.gr.
They were put up for public auction today at the Athens Court of First Instance with a first bid price of EUR 378,666.64, according to the valuation report of Grant Thordon.

The auction was preceded by the auction of two properties owned by the bankrupt company H.K. Tegopoulos, the industrial property in Koropi and the building at 10-16 Minoos Street where the offices of the historic newspaper were located.
According to reliable information, the auction process also involved a company of interest of businessman Dimitris Melissanidis, as well as a third company.
