Former President Donald Trump secured a significant victory on Monday as the US Supreme Court ruled in his favor, determining that he should not be barred from Colorado’s primary election ballot due to his actions related to the January 6, 2021, Capitol attack.
Reacting to the decision, Trump expressed his satisfaction by posting “BIG WIN FOR AMERICA!!!” on his social media platform, Truth Social.
Trump had challenged the Colorado Supreme Court’s ruling, which sought to disqualify him under the 14th Amendment’s Section 3, commonly known as the insurrection clause of the US Constitution.
The unanimous Supreme Court decision arrived just ahead of Colorado’s Super Tuesday primary elections.

This highly anticipated ruling not only settles the issue for Colorado voters on the eve of their Super Tuesday elections but also provides clarity for voters in Illinois and Maine.
In those states, voters had similarly sought Trump’s disqualification from the ballot, citing the insurrection clause.
