The student demonstration, which began earlier in the afternoon from the Propylaea ahead of the vote on the bill for non-state universities, was marked by serious clashes in the area of Syntagma.

Groups of allegedly student groups remained in front of the Parliament ahead of the vote on the bill for private universities, later today.

Specifically, according to the Police, shortly before 4 pm, a group of individuals attacked police forces with Molotov cocktails bombs in front of the Monument to the Unknown Soldier, with police responding by using chemicals to disperse them.
