A rare and dangerous incident was captured on video by a trainee pilot in Canada, who filmed the moment when lightning struck an aircraft in the air.

Air Canada, the airline to which the plane belongs, confirmed the lightning strike. As stated, the aircraft was checked upon arrival in London and continued its flights as normal.
Airplanes are designed to withstand lightning strikes and protect everyone on board.
The National Weather Service of the United States reports that incidents like this happen once or twice a year, but it’s much rarer for them to be captured on video.
