Slowly moving away to the east the wave of bad weather that occupied yesterday several areas of central and northern Greece giving local intense phenomena and so the weekend weather in general will be mild with the mercury to rise to Monday even close to 22 to 24 degrees, while from Tuesday comes new bad weather with several rains and a gradual decline in temperature, according to the forecast of meteorologist Klearchos Marousakis.

Local showers today (8/3) in the eastern Aegean and a few storms. In the rest of the country a few clouds.

At the weekend a few clouds with little rain.

Winds will shift from the west to southerly from the afternoon.

On Sunday, southerly winds will prevail throughout the country.

The temperature will rise from Sunday, on Monday it will exceed 20 degrees in the south.

Showers on Tuesday in several areas in the west, central and north.

Today and at the weekend in Attica we expect a few clouds with the thermometer at noon at 18 degrees, the temperature will rise a little even 20 degrees.

Thessaloniki will be partly cloudy, there is a chance of rain today, the temperature will be around 14 degrees.

GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS
In the northeastern mainland, the islands of the northern and eastern Aegean, the Dodecanese and occasionally in the Sporades, Evia and the Cyclades, clouds with local showers and occasional thunderstorms are forecast with gradual improvement from early afternoon.

In the rest of the country almost clear weather with occasional clouds at noon – afternoon in the mainland, so it is possible in the central and northern mountains to note local rainfall.

Locally limited visibility in the morning hours in the western mainland.

Winds will blow in the west northwest at 3 to 4 Beaufort. In the rest of the country north northeast at 4 to 6 Beaufort and in the south west northwest at the same intensity.

The temperature will drop slightly. In the north it will reach 12 to 14 and locally in central Macedonia 15 degrees Celsius and in the rest of the country 16 to 18 degrees Celsius

MACEDONIA, THRACE
Weather. Isolated thunderstorms are likely to occur again in the afternoon hours in the mountainous areas of Macedonia, with occasional light snowfall.
In the rest of the regions a few clouds, partly increasing in the midday and afternoon hours, with a chance of local rain in the mountains.
Winds: North northeastern 3 to 5 and locally in the eastern seas up to 6 Beaufort. Gradually from noon onwards they will weaken and in the afternoon they will turn to east winds of 3 to 4 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 04 to 15 degrees Celsius. In western Macedonia it will be 2 to 4 degrees lower.

IONIAN ISLANDS, EPIRUS, WESTERN SOLIDIA, WESTERN PELOPONNESE, WESTERN PELOPONNESE
Weather: a few clouds, mostly in the south in the early morning hours with local rain and isolated thunderstorms in the western Peloponnese. Locally limited visibility in the morning hours.
Winds: Variable 3 and locally northwestern up to 4 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 06 to 18 degrees Celsius. In the interior of Epirus 3 to 5 degrees lower.

EASTERN SOLIDIA, EUBOEA, EASTERN PELOPONNESE
Weather: in Evia a few clouds, partly cloudy until early afternoon with local showers and possibly isolated thunderstorms in the morning hours. In the remaining areas, almost clear weather with local clouds in the midday and afternoon hours, when local rain is possible in the mountains.
Winds: West northwest 3 to 5 Beaufort and gradually from the afternoon northeast, weakening in the evening.
Temperature: From 03 to 18 degrees Celsius.

CYCLADES, CRETE.
Weather: a few clouds, partly cloudy with local showers until noon mainly in the Cyclades.
Winds: West northwestern 4 to 6 Beaufort and from noon north northwestern with the same intensity.
Temperature: From 10 to 18 degrees Celsius.

EASTERN AEGEAN ISLANDS – DODECANESE
Weather: clouds, partly cloudy with local showers and occasional thunderstorms. From noon onwards the phenomena will weaken and in the evening the weather will improve.
Winds: In the eastern Aegean islands initially from westerly directions 4 to 5 and quickly from the north from northerly directions up to 6 Beaufort. In the Dodecanese western northwestern 4 to 5 and occasionally up to 6 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 10 to 18 degrees Celsius. In the north 2 to 3 degrees lower.

THESSALY
Weather. On the mainland, almost clear weather with local clouds in the midday and afternoon hours, when local rain is possible in the mountains.
Winds: North northwest 3 to 4 and in the Sporades up to 5 Beaufort, gradually turning to northeast. From the afternoon onwards, east winds of 3 to 4 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 03 to 17 degrees Celsius.

ATTICA
Weather: generally clear with occasional clouds in the midday and afternoon hours.
Winds: Northwestern 3 to 5 Beaufort, turning from the afternoon to northeastern with the same intensity.
Temperature: From 08 to 18 degrees Celsius.

THESSALONIKI
Weather: a few clouds that will increase in the midday and afternoon hours and local rainfall mainly in the surrounding mountains.
Winds: North 3 to 4 Beaufort and from noon south southeast with the same intensity.
Temperature: From 07 to 15 degrees Celsius.

FORECAST FOR TOMORROW SATURDAY 09-03-2024
Across the country generally clear weather with occasional clouds and a chance of light local rain in the west and north at noon and in the afternoon.
Visibility mainly in the west in the morning hours will be locally limited.
Winds in the west will initially be variable light and from midday onwards will blow from southerly directions 4 to 5 and in the Ionian Sea locally 6 Beaufort. In the east, winds will blow from the north at 3 to 4 Beaufort and in the southern Aegean at 4 to 6 Beaufort.
The temperature will not change significantly. In the north it will reach 12 to 14 degrees Celsius and in the rest of the regions 15 to 17 degrees Celsius.

In the rest of the country it will initially be variable and light, while from noon onwards it will blow south southeast at 3 to 5 Beaufort.
The temperature will rise.

FORECAST FOR MONDAY 11-03-2024
Increased clouds in the west and north with local showers and occasional thunderstorms from the afternoon hours in the northern Ionian, Epirus and Macedonia. In the rest of the country almost clear weather.
Conditions favour the transport of African dust.
Winds will blow from southerly directions 5 to 6, gradually 6 to 7 and occasionally 7 to 8 Beaufort in the sea.
The temperature will rise further and will be high for the season.

FORECAST FOR TUESDAY 12-03-2024
Increased clouds in the west, central and north with local showers and occasional thunderstorms. From noon onwards, the phenomena are expected to affect the northern Aegean Sea. In the rest of the country the weather will be almost clear.
Conditions favour the transport of African dust.
Winds will blow in the west southwest at 5 to 6 Beaufort, while in the remaining areas south at 6 to 7 and locally in the Aegean at 8 Beaufort.
Temperatures will drop slightly in the north.
