Today, occasional cloudiness is expected, temporarily increased with local showers and isolated thunderstorms in the northern parts during the early morning hours. Generally sunny weather is expected in the rest of the country with occasional clouds during midday hours in the mainland mountainous areas, where there is a chance of localized showers. From the evening onwards, clouds will increase again in the west, and during the night, local showers are expected. Additionally, the transfer of Saharan dust is expected to be more intense in the western and southern parts of the country.
The temperature will range from 5 to 20 degrees Celsius in Western Macedonia, from 2 to 21 degrees Celsius in the rest of Northern Greece, from 5 to 27 degrees Celsius in Epirus, from 5 to 24 degrees Celsius in Thessaly, from 5 to 30 degrees Celsius in the remaining mainland areas, from 12 to 22 degrees Celsius in the Ionian Islands, and from 12 to 21-22 degrees Celsius in the island regions of the Aegean, while in Crete, maximum temperatures will locally reach 30-31 degrees Celsius.
