Fire in Paros island, burning near houses – Message from 112

In the area of Pyrgaki of Parikia - Strong winds blowing - Videos and photos

A fire broke out on the island of Paros, in the area of Pyrgaki of Parikia, in a residential area.

Due to the winds the fire has reached great proportions, and emergency alerts have been sent by 112 to evacuate people and head to the beach.

Nineteen firefighters are operating on the scene, with six vehicles, while a helicopter is making drops.
