The case file mentions these two defendants, who, in addition to the other offences they have been charged with, are also accused of being the instigators of the murder of the policeman: “They distributed naval flares and improvised explosive devices to the members of the criminal organisation, who had left the closed gym and were waiting patiently for the order to move against the platoon of the Greek Police. Some of them had their own smoke grenades, flare pens and naval flares.

Eventually this order was given by the two leading members of the criminal organisation, who were marching ahead of the others in the direction of the platoon. According to I.A.’s order, as soon as he would fire the first Molotov cocktail, then the others would start firing the objects with which they were equipped against the police officers. Indeed, the plan, which resulted in the death of one Policeman and the injury of another, was executed to the letter.”
