The images show the man holding two bags in his left hand, one of which contains the dead infant

Newsroom May 11 02:24

The images show the Nepalese man holding two bags in his left hand – one of which contains the dead infant – and depositing them in a garbage bin.

The father was arrested yesterday Friday by the National Police. and confessed that he did indeed throw the infant in the garbage, however he claimed that he did not kill it but that the infant was born prematurely and stillborn.

However, the police are forming a case of manslaughter against him.

According to reports, the woman was in her 5th month of pregnancy and the baby was born alive.

Police sources, speaking to protothema.gr, said that the woman, went to the hospital “Alexandra” on Thursday night with bleeding and the doctors told her that she was pregnant without being able to determine whether a miscarriage or a normal delivery had taken place.

Authorities were then called with police officers going to the hotel room where the couple were staying and conducting an investigation. There was reportedly blood in the room, both in the toilet bowl, on the sheets and in other places.

The foetus was finally found in a landfill on Friday.

A post-mortem is expected to be conducted on Monday (13/5) and the final conclusion will determine the case.
