In Thessaloniki, the mother and grandmother of a five-year-old boy were arrested after allegedly leaving him alone and locked in their apartment for two hours.
According to reports, the child was spotted by police officers investigating another case of his family, so they went to their home in the area of Lagada to look for them.

According to the indictment, the 39-year-old mother allegedly left the house to go to work, while the child’s grandmother, 61 years old, also left the house, leaving the five-year-old alone until the police officers found him.
The two women were prosecuted for child endangerment and were brought to trial under the spontaneous procedure at the Single Municipal Court of Thessaloniki.
