Siljanovska’s latest provocation: Met with Pope Francis thanking him on behalf of all “Macedonians”

Despite clear warnings from Mitsotakis and Brussels jeopardizing North Macedonia's European integration, Siljanovska seeks support from the Pontiff

Newsroom May 23 06:56

Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, the newly elected president of North Macedonia, continues to challenge Athens by not implementing the Prespa Agreement.

In her recent meeting with Pope Francis, she thanked him on behalf of all “Macedonian” citizens instead of citizens of the Republic of North Macedonia.

This has drawn criticism, with Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis warning that North Macedonia’s European integration will be blocked if they do not adhere to the agreement.
