Kate Middleton is unlikely to make any public appearances for the rest of the year due to ongoing preventative chemotherapy. She announced her cancer diagnosis in a confessional video and will focus on spending time with her family. Next week, she and Prince William will go to their country house on the Sandringham estate, where her parents may visit. William will also take a break from his duties to support her.
During a recent visit to St Mary’s Community Hospital, William confirmed Kate is “fine” while she undergoes treatment. In March, Kate revealed her diagnosis, explaining that cancer was discovered after abdominal surgery in January. She urged others affected by cancer to remain hopeful and mentioned that her priority now is her family. “William and I are doing our best to manage it privately for the good of our young family,” she said.
