A fire broke out in the basement of a wine restaurant in the center of Piraeus, on Boumboulinas and Karaiskos streets in Piraeus, causing property damage.

According to the Fire Department, there are no trapped people and the incident does not cause concern.

As seen in the Piraeus Press video, it appears that an apartment building a few blocks away from the town hall has been “hidden” by thick smoke.
