The audience erupted with excitement for the team that lifted Panathinaikos to the pinnacle of Europe after 13 years. Ergin Ataman and Kostas Sloukas paraded the Euroleague trophy onto the court, while Nino, a special guest, stepped onto the arena and performed “Mehri Telous,” (Till the End).

The banner, showing Ataman and Sloukas hoisting the trophy adorned with the 7th star, ascended to the ceiling of OAKA! It now stands alongside the banners commemorating the European championships of 1996, 2000, 2002, 2007, 2009, and 2011. Dimitris Giannakopoulos was greeted with the most enthusiastic applause from the audience.

Panathinaikos now turns its attention to the Greek championship with the aim of winning it. They will need to overcome the obstacle of Aris to likely meet Olympiacos in the Basket League finals. The Green team won their last championship in 2021, and as their captain, Kostas Sloukas, emphasized, that is the main goal of the season.
