A total of 37 agroforestry fires occurred in the last 24 hours across the country. Of these, according to the Fire Brigade, 34 were dealt with immediately, at their initial stage, while firefighting forces are still dealing with three more.

The local investigating agencies, as well as teams of the Arson Investigation Department (IAD) are investigating the causes of the fires.

Finally, the Fire Brigade calls on all citizens “to be particularly careful and in the event of a fire, for their own safety, to strictly follow the instructions of the competent authorities”.
