The final is scheduled for Saturday at 21:06. “It was an easy competition, I had no problems.” The Greek jumper remarked on the ease of securing his place in the final, noting that both he and his competitors will aim for strong performances.
“I mentioned earlier that the main competition would be with Ehammer. It was an easy event, no issues. Recently, I’ve been feeling very fast, but I know the necessary speed for 8.00m, so I don’t have to give my all. As I started quickly, I realized I was going too fast. So, I slowed down in the last meters and adjusted my landing accordingly. It was very easy for me.”
Regarding his conversation with Ehammer: “We talked about his jump. He’s in great shape and one of the favorites.” On the elevated platform: “It’s very good, and there will be strong performances. I don’t prefer it. Even if I make a good jump, I won’t be too excited about it; I don’t consider it a true long jump.” On the competition with the final favorites: “All three of us have the potential to jump far.”
