Fire Department: 31 fires across Greece in the last 24 hours – High-risk tomorrow

Tomorrow's fire danger forecast map

Newsroom June 10 09:58

In the past twenty-four hours, a total of 31 agroforestry fires have ignited across the country.

According to a statement from the Fire Brigade, 26 of these fires were promptly contained in their initial stages, while firefighting forces are currently addressing five remaining fires.

Local investigative offices and units from the Directorate for Combating Arson Crimes (D.A.E.E.) are investigating the causes of these fires.

The Fire Department urges all citizens to exercise caution and, for their own safety, to follow the instructions of the authorities in the event of a fire.
