Lemon Tart

Ingredients
Servings: 8-10

For the dough

  • 250 g (2 cups) Giotis Red Flour
  • 125 g (2/3 cup) butter or margarine
  • 120 g (1 cup) powdered sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • a little vanilla
  • 4-5 drops of lemon juice

For the cream

  • 1 packet Giotis Pastry Cream with Vanilla Flavor
  • 50 ml (1/4 cup) lemon juice
  • 300 ml (1 1/2 cups) water
  • 1/2 packet Giotis Pastry Garni with Vanilla Flavor
  • 100 ml (1/2 cup) milk
  • lemon zest

A refreshing tart, perfect for a sweet accompaniment to your afternoon coffee. Choose Giotis products for guaranteed success and ease in preparation!

Procedure
Step 1
Put all the dough ingredients in the mixer bowl and knead with the paddle until a uniform dough forms. Cover it with plastic wrap and let it rest in the refrigerator for about half an hour.

Step 2
Spread the dough in a tart pan or small individual molds, bake in a preheated moderate oven for about half an hour, and let them cool.

Step 3
In the mixer bowl, place the lemon juice and water, add the contents of the ION Pastry Cream with Vanilla Flavor packet, and beat for 5 minutes. Spread the cream over the base.

Step 4
Prepare the Giotis Pastry Garni with Vanilla Flavor according to the box instructions and spread it over the cream. Garnish with lemon zest.
