A total of 35 agroforestry fires occurred across the country in the last 24 hours. Of those, the fire department says 30 were dealt with immediately, at their initial stage, while firefighters are tackling five more.

Local investigating agencies, as well as teams from the Directorate of Arson Investigation (DIA) are investigating the causes of the fires.

Finally, the fire brigade calls on all citizens to be particularly careful and in case of fire, for their own safety, to follow the instructions of the competent authorities.
