According to the information, the results of the forensic examination of the 37-year-old woman show that she suffered injuries such as bruises and fractures from the beating which Apostolos Lytras confessed.
The doctor’s diagnosis
It will be recalled that in his testimony, the doctor, who was the one who identified that the 37-year-old woman had not fallen from a ladder but had suffered violence and alerted the police, vividly described in his testimony everything he found on the woman’s body.
“Clinically she has facial bruising and swelling – forehead, cheekbones, amphorae; ecchymosis of the eye sockets (racoon eyes), fracture of the right lobe, ear, swelling and bleeding of the nose, abrasions and swelling of upper and lower lip, laceration of the tongue, abrasions and swelling of the forearm, swelling of the proximal phalangeal joint of the right little finger, scalp scalp,” he said.
At the same time as he said, “Clinical findings: fracture of nasal bone, fracture of base – palmar surface – middle phalanx of little finger, right hand extremity. Labs show elevated CPU values. She has blood on her scalp as well as hair tufts on her clothing and body. When I asked her who hit her and if it was the same person who had brought her into the emergency room, she answered affirmative. I immediately informed the 911 operator of her own actions.”
The shocking description of Sophia Polyzogopoulou
Meanwhile, Sophia also described in detail everything she experienced at the hands of her husband Apostolos Lytras, and everything she experienced during her visit to the hospital. “We entered together at the entrance of the Euroclinic. I said that I wanted to be seen by a doctor in the emergency room because I have hurt my head. The doctor took me directly to the examination room alone and did not allow my husband to enter. A nurse came along. As soon as the nurse approached me I immediately told her that my husband had hit me. I was afraid of him too and I told the doctor. They told me that they would call the police… As indeed they did.” she continues to add: “I was given first aid. When the police officer since then, because I didn’t want my husband to know anything and leave and I didn’t know if I should trust him at that moment, I mainly didn’t want him to leave because I hadn’t alerted my sister about what had happened because he was holding my daughter. I told the police officer that I was a lawyer and I didn’t want to give a statement at that moment but I told him to take the doctor’s statement. I was going to be examined by a forensic doctor. Note that as soon as I told the doctor what had happened he took pictures with his cell phone. When the police arrived my husband gave my cell phone to the doctor who gave it to me so I took pictures with my cell phone which I will print and submit to you. The police officer insisted that I had to give a statement at that moment. I told him to write that I fell down the stairs and give me a panic button so that the police officers would realize what had happened and not my husband” she concludes her statement.
Lytras is now blaming his wife
As he says in a press release, “I never ‘made up’ the narrative that my wife allegedly falling down the stairs – she chose that version (despite my disagreement) to protect our children because she originally thought it would protect them from negative publicity. In any case , I respect and bow to her decision to testify to what exactly happened.” At the same time, he says that he had never used violence in the past towards his wife, adding that “this does not negate the wrongfulness of my act”, while calling “not to reproduce false ‘news’ about allegedly ‘other’ acts that I allegedly ‘committed'”.
