Time is ticking down for Apostolos Lytras, who now sees the prison door opening before him.
Today, the lawyer is being taken to the court to execute the warrant for his temporary detention, which was issued yesterday by the judicial authorities.
This warrant replaces the restrictive conditions imposed on him after his testimony regarding the brutal beating of his wife, Sofia Polyzygopoulou.
It was determined that the defendant, charged with the felony of grievous bodily harm against his wife, violated the restrictive conditions imposed on him.
This occurred less than 48 hours after he was released from the interrogation office, under the obligation not to have any interaction with Sofia Polyzygopoulou.
He was also required to move out of the house in Gerakas where he lived with the 37-year-old lawyer and to attend a special therapy program to prevent a recurrence of his violent behavior.
However, the judicial authorities ruled that the 52-year-old defendant violated the conditions imposed on him for his release.
Thus, these were replaced with a warrant for temporary detention.
