Around 10:45 p.m. on Friday night in Hydra, at Agios Nikolaos beach, unscrupulous individuals on a private yacht in the area set fire to the beach, throwing fireworks.

According to reports, when they realised what they had done, they
attempted to put out the fire and, when they failed, they alerted the fire brigade and then left.

The fire is burning in a rough spot with no road.

According to the fire brigade, its forces are approaching the site of the fire with a Coast Guard boat in order to attempt to extinguish it.
