A 47-year-old foreigner, who was arrested as soon as he landed at Thera airport in the early hours of Monday morning, will spend his holiday in the cell of the Ermoupolis Security Department in Syros, where he was planning to spend his holidays in Santorini, as he was an internationally wanted man.

During a check of the 47-year-old’s details, it was found that he was being prosecuted by the French authorities with a European Arrest Warrant for managing illegal funds through the establishment of a company, which was pending against him.

Thus, he was arrested by officers of the Thera Police Sub-Directorate and taken to Syros, where the procedure for his extradition to France was initiated by the Aegean Prosecutor’s Office of the Aegean Court of Appeal.
