The arrest of a man, who according to local media reports is a former seasonal forest firefighter, as being responsible for 12 arrestsin the area of Ampelona in Larissa has been announced by members of the Fire Department’s investigative team.

The arrest was made after an investigation into the fires that had occurred in recent days on the road Larissa – Ampelona, after Giannouli, at the height of a clinic.

According to the newspaper “Eleftheria”, a large number of fires in the same area caused the intervention of a team of the AIAE, which in cooperation with the Investigation Department of the Larissa Police Department allegedly focused on the action of a man, who at those times was moving in the area on a motorbike.
