New video footage of the bloody shooting incidents that took place outside the Panathinaikos stadium on Alexandras Avenue, before the friendly match between Panathinaikos and AEK Larnaca on July 13, as reported by protothema.gr.
The video, from a camera in the area, captures the moment the riots start, with fans running for cover, some of them holding batons.
It will be recalled that during the incidents, one of the participants drew a gun and fired, resulting in a man being injured in the leg, while two more people were injured, one in the abdomen (bearing abrasions) and one in the arm after being beaten. All three injured were taken to the People’s Hospital.
In total, 74 people were arrested, with the Athens Prosecutor’s Office of the Athens Prosecutor’s Office prosecuting five felonies and several misdemeanors. Specifically, the prosecution brought against the 74 is related to the felonies of formation and membership in a criminal organization, attempted murder by conspiracy and serial murder, manufacture of explosive devices, instigating the manufacture of explosive devices and possession of explosives. Among those arrested were five minors, who were released under restrictive conditions.
It should be noted that four of the 74 accused followers also belonged to a criminal organization that had extensive activity in extortion, beatings, explosions, arson, and drug dealing.
