Voula: Police arrested 37-year-old man who hit and killed a stray cat

A 37-year-old foreigner was arrested, on Saturday (20/7) at noon, by police officers for violation of the animal law and disobedience. Specifically, according to police, the accused on Saturday morning in the area of Voula, using a iron crowbar hit and killed a stray cat, which was in the yard of his house.

Following a report of the incident, police officers immediately went to the scene and located the 37-year-old man, who resisted during his arrest, and evidence (an iron crowbar) was collected to authenticate his criminal act.

In addition, an administrative fine of 30,000 euros was imposed on the 37-year-old.

The arrested was taken to the competent Prosecutor, while the killed animal recovered by the police officers was sent for autopsy to the competent service.
