A firefighter was injured during the firefighting operation in Sofiko, Corinthia, at the intersection with Amoni, which broke out after a lightning strike.

According to korinthostv.gr, during the firefighting operation from an aerial unit (Erickson), the firefighter was injured and transferred to the General Hospital of Corinth.

  • In Sofiko, Corinthia, the situation has improved with 80 firefighters, 3 ground units from the 6th and 9th EMODE, 25 vehicles, water tankers, and machinery from the Peloponnese Region and the Municipality of Corinthia operating.
  • In Examilia, there is no active front.
  • In Ierapetra, there is no active front.
  • In Fokida, the situation has improved with 50 firefighters, 3 ground units from the 4th EMODE, and 9 vehicles operating.
  • In Kavala, the firefighting continues with 38 firefighters, 2 ground units from the 7th EMODE, and 9 vehicles operating.
