Jenny Karezi: 32 Years Since Her Death – Unpublished Photo of Her in Hydra

On July 26, 1992, Jenny Karezi passed away at the age of 60, after a three-year battle with cancer.

To mark the 32nd anniversary of her death, the Instagram profile under the name Kleisthenis Daskalakos – the photographer of Jenny Karezi and many actors of old Greek cinema – published a photo of her for the first time.

The unpublished snapshot shows Jenny Karezi in summer clothes, riding a donkey in Hydra.

Two years ago, the same profile uploaded another previously unpublished snapshot. Kleisthenis had captured Jenny Karezi on the streets of Athens, window-shopping. The unpublished photo was again posted on the Studio Kleisthenis Instagram account.

In the caption of the photo, it read: “On this day in 1992, the unique Jenny Karezi left us. Kleisthenis photographed her on the streets of Athens, looking at a clothing store window. Unpublished photo.”
