Saoirse Ronan Ties the Knot with Actor Jack Lowden After Six Years Together

The wedding took place in Scotland

Newsroom July 29 12:25

Saoirse Ronan married Jack Lowden after six years of relationship in a Scottish ceremony.

The marriage, which took place earlier this month, was confirmed by the Scottish civil registry.

According to reports, it was a small ceremony held at the Edinburgh registry office, attended only by a few of the couple’s closest friends and their family.

The 30-year-old four-time Oscar nominee and the 34-year-old Scottish actor met in 2018 when they co-starred in the movie “Mary Queen Of Scots.” She played the lead role in the film, while her new husband portrayed Lord Darnley, the monarch’s husband. Ronan and Lowden began dating in December 2018.

The couple has kept their relationship private over the years, refusing to speak publicly about their personal life.

In 2019, a Telegraph journalist asked the actress, “Am I allowed to ask if you’re dating the person everyone thinks you’re dating?” to which Ronan replied, “No,” ending the conversation.

“Oh, I’m not going to talk about that. I don’t like talking about that side of life,” he had stated.
