A 28-year-old man has been found guilty by the Lamia Single Judge Plenary Court for the acts of repeated domestic threats against his 19-year-old ex-partner.
The young man was arrested on Sunday 28 July in Kamena Vourla, after his ex-girlfriend complained that he was still harassing her and sending her threatening messages. He had even called her on Saturday with a concealed phone while she was working and her friend had picked up the phone, who also testified about what the 19-year-old was experiencing after her breakup.
According to lamiareport, the 28-year-old had initially claimed in his statement to the police that he was looking for the girl as since they broke up he wanted back the mobile phone he had given her on her birthday.
But before the court, he also put in his love for her and the effort he wanted to make for a reunion. The prosecutor at the court, however, was not convinced and saw obsession in relation to the sufferer. He asked to be found guilty, which he was, as the Court imposed a sentence of two years’ imprisonment of which he will serve 40 days, suspending the remainder.
