Scary images from the cabin of the Easyjet aircraft where 181 passengers experienced terror due to violent turbulence on Monday, August 19, are published by ERT.
As it became known yesterday, the aircraft operating flight EZY8120 from Corfu to London experienced turbulence over Italian airspace, resulting in two crew members being injured. The captain made the decision to divert the flight to Rome, where the crew members received medical attention.
In the sea area over Otranto, Italy, a short time after take-off, the aircraft ran into turbulence, resulting in two crew members, flight attendants, being injured when they lost their balance while preparing to serve and fell into the walls of the aircraft. Another plane was sent to pick up the passengers, who eventually arrived in the UK the same day.
