Kasselakis: Linou resigned her parliamentary seat – Her explanations do not suffice, she wasn’t answering my calls

Implying criticism toward Tsipras - "I am not a prosecutor, but certain matters should have been investigated before she was integrated into SYRIZA's electoral list," he stated

Newsroom August 28 05:41

“Her explanations have not sufficed, and my office has requested her resignation and the return of her parliamentary seat. She has not responded to anything—neither calls, SMS, or WhatsApp. We are awaiting her response,” stated SYRIZA President Stefanos Kasselakis, referring to the decision to expel Ms. Linou from SYRIZA’s parliamentary group.

“Our request is clear: she must hand over her seat to the first runner-up. Responding to messages, whether by phone or in writing, is the minimum level of engagement that should be expected at this moment,” Mr. Kasselakis remarked in comments to Mega TV.

Regarding the matter under investigation, Mr. Kasselakis seemed to cast aspersions on former SYRIZA President Alexis Tsipras, stating: “I am not a prosecutor, but there are issues that should have been investigated before her inclusion on SYRIZA’s electoral list. This serves as a reminder that we need to be prepared.”
