The 18-year-old, accused of raping a 20-year-old in Thessaloniki, has been released after her testimony to the investigating judge.
The young woman, who was arrested following a complaint filed by the alleged victim, faced charges of rape by committing sexual acts without the victim’s consent. However, after providing her explanation, she was released without any restrictive conditions.
According to sources, the 20-year-old told the police that the incident occurred on the afternoon of the previous Tuesday, when the 18-year-old took advantage of his discomfort due to prior alcohol consumption and led him to an abandoned house.
There, as the victim stated, she engaged in sexual intercourse with him, something he did not desire, while the accused insisted on achieving her aim. The accused, however, denies from the outset that she had sexual relations with the young man without his consent.
According to those close to the accused, the young woman met the 20-year-old approximately ten months ago through the Instagram app, and they had been in a relationship since then. They broke up in June, after which the 20-year-old attempted suicide and was hospitalized.
On the day of the alleged rape, the accused met with the 20-year-old to talk. The 18-year-old claims that the 20-year-old consumed alcohol and some pills, and they proceeded with the sexual act with his consent.
