The court has rejected George Koutsolioutsos’s latest request for release, despite the prosecutor’s recommendation to grant a suspension of his sentence and allow his release under restrictive conditions.
Koutsolioutsos recently requested to serve his sentence under house arrest or to be released with restrictions, such as wearing an electronic bracelet.
This was not his first attempt; he made a similar request last June after the Athens Three-Member Court of Appeals for Felonies sentenced him to 11 years in prison in connection with the Folli Follie case.
However, the court unanimously rejected his request, considering that if released, there is a risk he might commit similar offenses.
