Bentley is expected to unveil the new Flying Spur in the coming days, with the British limousine now featuring a powerful Ultra Performance Hybrid system.
The plug-in hybrid setup combines a 4.0-liter V8 engine with an electric motor mounted within the gearbox, delivering a total of 782 horsepower and 1,000 Nm of torque, with power sent to all four wheels.
This makes the new Flying Spur significantly more powerful than its predecessor, surpassing the output of the now-retired W12 engine by 146 horsepower.
The performance is on par with the Continental GT Speed, allowing the Flying Spur to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 335 km/h.
In addition to its increased power, the new Flying Spur is expected to be Bentley’s most efficient model to date, with an electric-only range of up to 72 km.
The new model will also feature updated design elements, including new front air intakes and a modified grille. Additionally, the chassis and driving dynamics are set to receive significant upgrades.
These enhancements include a revamped traction control system, a new suspension setup, and an advanced stability control system.
