From the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports, all the information regarding the schedule and Examination Centers for the examinations of general education, orientation groups, special and music courses are announced in summary, candidates of the special category “Greeks abroad and children of Greek employees serving abroad”, for admission to Higher Education, year 2024, as well as the deadline for the health examination and practical test of candidates for admission to TEFAA.
A. PROGRAM OF EXAMINATION OF GENERAL EDUCATION COURSES AND PREPARATION TEAMS FOR THE YEAR 2024
The starting time of the examination is set at 4.00 pm for all the courses. Candidates should arrive at the examination halls at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the examination.
The duration of the examination for each course is set at three (3) hours.
B. EXAM PROGRAM FOR EXAMINATION OF SPECIAL AND MUSIC COURSES FOR THE YEAR 2024
Candidates must arrive at the examination halls at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the examination. The duration of the examination for the courses:
– foreign languages is three (3) hours,
– for Drawings (Free and Linear) is six (6) hours,
– for the music course “Music Performance and Interpretation” the examination of vocal or instrumental music
lasts 4′ to 6′ minutes per candidate.
– for the music course ‘Music Perception, Theory and Harmony’, the examination as a whole lasts
three (3) hours and 30 minutes.
C1. EXAM CENTERS FOR GENERAL EDUCATION AND PREPARATION TEAMS
The examinations in all subjects will be held in Athens and Thessaloniki in accordance with the declaration of each candidate. Candidates will receive their Candidate Card from the examination center where they will sit the examinations on the day the examinations begin.
The examination centers for conducting the General Education and Orientation Groups examinations will be open:
1) In Athens and specifically:
a) 15th Athens High School (46 Kypselis and Paxon, 11362, tel. 2108238552) where all candidates whose surnames begin from A to L will be examined.
b) 26th Athens High School (Marasli 10, P.C. 10676, tel: 2107247387) where all candidates whose surnames begin with M to Z will be tested
2) In Thessaloniki and specifically:
(a) 1st GEL Evosmos (Nemea & Thalia, Evosmos, Thessaloniki P.C. 56224, tel. 2310768147) where candidates whose surnames begin with A to Cap will be tested.

C3. EXAM CENTERS FOR THE MUSIC COURSES “MUSICAL REFERENCE, THEORY AND ARMONY” and “MUSICAL PERFORMANCE AND PERFORMANCE”
Especially for the course “Music Perception, Theory and Harmony” the examinations for all candidates (including candidates with disabilities and special educational needs) will be held at the building of the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports, 37 Andreas Papandreou Street, Maroussi.
The examination center for the music course “Music Performance and Interpretation” is the Music Gymnasium of Pallini in Athens (MARIZA – PALLINI, P.C. 15351, Pallini, tel. 2106668547, 2106668794) of the Directorate of the East Attica Department, where all candidates will be examined.
D. EXAMINATION OF CANDIDATES WITH DISABILITY AND SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS
Candidates with disabilities and special educational needs of the special category “Greeks from abroad and children of Greek employees serving abroad” are examined (orally) in general education, orientation groups and special subjects, provided they have sent the required supporting documents, according to the schedule already announced, at the same hours and days, at the 50th Athens Gymnasium (74-76 Chatziapostolou and Dordou 10443, Athens, tel. 210 5136686) by a committee that will operate in Athens.
E. HEALTH EXAMINATIONS AND PRACTICAL TESTING FOR TEFAAs
The Health Examination and Practical Test (events) of the candidates of the special category “Greeks abroad and children of Greek employees serving abroad”, for admission to the Departments of Physical Education and Sports Science of academic year
The admission to the 2024-25 academic year will take place between Friday 13-9-2024 and Friday 20-9-2024 in committees in Athens at the Athens Secondary Education Directorate A’ Athens (Chiou 16-18, P.C. 10438 Athens, tel. 214-4069221) and in Thessaloniki with the Directorate of Secondary Education of Western Thessaloniki (Kolokotroni 22, Stavroupoli Thessaloniki, P.C. 56430 Thessaloniki, tel. 2310-605703). Candidates must apply to the relevant health examination and practical test committee in order to register for the practical tests. Candidates are required to carry their test card and preferably their identity card or passport.
F. INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES FOR SPECIAL COURSES FOR THE DRAFT
1. During the examination in “Linear Drawing” candidates are given drawing paper, the outer dimensions of which are 50 x 70 cm and the inner dimensions, on which the drawing is made, are 50 x 58 cm. For this reason, candidates must bring with them to the examination a drawing board of the same dimensions as the drawing paper and the necessary instruments and materials for drawing, i.e. rough drawing paper (rice paper or other), pencils of different hardnesses for different line thicknesses, instruments for drawing with pencil or ink, a tau or parallelogram, drawing triangles, a common protractor and the other necessary drawing instruments (a ruler, a curved line, a gum eraser, an eraser shield, a pencil sharpener, a bell sharpener, etc.).
He may also use a magnifying glass. However, it is prohibited to use drawing systems, i.e. special printing machines for writing and drawing letters, gelatine or metal elements of standard letters, stickers (raster, letterpress, etc.) of letters or line shading and scalometers (subdecimeters in various scales, one : twenty, one : fifty, etc.), protractor, as well as calculating machines (computers).
2. During the examination in “Free Drawing”, candidates are given a drawing paper, the outer dimensions of which are 50 x 70 cm and the inner dimensions, on which the drawing is done, are 50 x 50 cm. For this reason, the candidate should carry with him/her in the examination a drawing board of dimensions commensurate with the drawing paper. The drawing shall be made with pencils. In addition to the drawing board, the candidate must have with him/her soft and hard pencils, a rubber glove and a pencil sharpener. The use of a measuring needle and level thread is also permitted, while the use of drawing instruments and the use of spray paint is not permitted.
G. INSTRUCTIONS FOR MUSIC STUDIES
For the course “Music Perception, Theory and Harmony” clarifications have been posted on the website of the Ministry of Education.
For the course “Musical Performance and Interpretation”, candidates should bring the musical instruments on which they will be tested, except for piano and European percussion instruments, which will be available at the examination site.
For the examination of the works of a) “Classical, Western European music”, b) “Jazz and Popular Music” genres of music, as well as the works of Byzantine Chant of the genre “Folk – Traditional Music and Byzantine Chant”, candidates have the right to use their own sheet music, a copy of which, in addition, they are obliged to hand over (through a proctor) to the examiners.

Candidates should not bring mobile phones with them when taking the examination.
