Kifissia: Stolen Car Chase Ends in Crash with Police Vehicle and Pillar – Watch the Video

The stolen vehicle performs reckless maneuvers to evade OPKE and DIAS officers in a dramatic chase

Video documentary of theincidental pursuit of a stolen vehicle that occurred at noon on Kifisia came to light, showing the perpetrators making dangerous maneuvers to escape from police officers.

The chase began when the two 38-year-olds stole a car in front of its owner’s eyes, with the forces of the OPKE and the DIA team immediately mobilized.

During the chase, the perpetrators rammed a police car at the Kalyftaki Bridge and managed to temporarily escape.

However, a few hours later, the vehicle struck a pole and ended up in a building, injuring a pedestrian citizen, who was taken to the Gennimata Hospital with minor injuries.

Officers were eventually able to subdue the offenders and take them to the police station.

The Chronicle

According to information from the police, it all happened around 11.50am when police received a call about a a stolen vehicle outside the Acharnon Town Hall. Searches ensued with officers of the DIA team locating the vehicle and signalling for it to stop. In vain.

The driver picked up speed and a pursuit ensued. Near Kaliftaki, the driver became trapped and attempted to flee by striking a police car twice without causing injury.

Finally on Acharnon Street in Kifisia the vehicle struck a pillar and then ended up in a building yard outside the local IOU.
