Two men were arrested on the evening of September 10, 2024 in an area of the Municipality of Rethymnon by officers of the Narcotics Department of the Rethymnon Security Subdirectorate, accused of possession and trafficking of drugs.

The arrest and findings

Officers located the two locals, a 27-year-old and a 26-year-old, while the former was supplying drugs to the latter. In the subsequent body check, as well as in the search carried out at the 27-year-old’s home, 71.2 grams of cannabis, a precision scale, two mobile phones and the sum of 160 euros, which is estimated to be derived from illegal activities, were found and seized.

The preliminary investigation of the case is being carried out by the Rethymnon Security Sub-Directorate, which is examining all the evidence to clarify further aspects of the case.
