While engaging in a drug deal in an area of the Rethymno Municipality, two Greek men, aged 27 and 26, were spotted by Narcotics officers who had prior information about their meeting and arrested them on Tuesday night.
During a body search and a subsequent search of the 27-year-old’s home, authorities found a total of 71.2 grams of raw cannabis, a precision scale, two mobile phones, and confiscated these items along with €160. A few hours later, another 22-year-old Greek man was arrested in a different area of the Rethymno Municipality by officers of the T.A.E. unit. Upon inspection, they found 113 grams of raw cannabis and another scale in his possession.
Investigations are underway for both cases, and the three young men were taken to the Rethymno Prosecutor’s Office, where they were charged with possession and trafficking of narcotics. They remain in custody until they testify before the investigating judge.
