MRB Poll: ND at 28%, SYRIZA in fifth place but with Kasselakis leading, PASOK faces tight second round

Two-thirds of SYRIZA voters disapprove of Kasselakis' ousting, and over half favor Tsipras' return – View the survey presentation

Newsroom September 19 08:43

According to the MRB poll presented on Open’s main news broadcast, SYRIZA is ranked as the fifth party, with a single-digit percentage of 9% in the vote estimate. Meanwhile, New Democracy (ND) holds a comfortable lead at 28%, matching its European election result, with a 12.5-point advantage over PASOK, which stands at 15.5%, just 18 days before the party’s internal elections.

Mr. Kasselakis leads across all SYRIZA voter groups—both old and new—with Mr. Polakis in second place, indicating the party is headed for a two-round election, where Polakis will be Kasselakis’ main opponent. Additionally, two-thirds of SYRIZA voters disagree with Kasselakis’ ousting.

In PASOK, Nikos Androulakis holds the lead, though a close second round is anticipated, especially if Haris Doukas becomes his opponent.
