The victim of the car crash in Tsaritdshani that took place on Saturday afternoon (21/9) was the deputy mayor of Florina Lazaros Antoniadis, local media report.
The accident occurred when the deputy mayor’s truck veered off course and burst into flames.
The fire brigade was immediately mobilized and 12 firefighters with 4 vehicles rushed to the scene where they extinguished the fire and removed the trapped man from the cabin of the vehicle, according to elassona884.gr.
A man was pulled unconscious from a PHEV, as a result of a traffic accident, at the 31st km of the Larissa-Kozani highway in the area of Tsaritsani Larissa and was taken by an ambulance of the ambulance service. 12 #firefighters with 4 vehicles were involved.

The 60-year-old driver was taken by ambulance to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
