Four people were killed and dozens injured after a series of shootings in Birmingham, Alabama.

According to city police, the bloody incidents occurred Saturday night shortly after 11:00 p.m. (local time) when police received a call of shots fired.

Officers arrived at the scene and found two men and a woman lying on the ground and were found to have died instantly.

The fourth victim succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

Police believe several gunmen fired shots at a group of people, but no arrests have been made.
