UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres was declared an “undesirable personality in Israel” by Israel’s Foreign Minister Israel Katz, adding that he is also banned from entering the country.
This, according to Katz, this “comes against the backdrop of the fact that in his response to Iran’s criminal attack on Israel, he did not mention the name ‘Iran’ and did not strongly condemn its serious aggression.”
The Israeli foreign minister further stressed that “this is a continuation of his (Guterres’) anti-Israel policy since the beginning of the war that gives support to the terrorists, rapists and murderers of Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis and now against the ‘mother’ of global terrorism, Iran.”
It will be recalled that in his post yesterday, after Iran’s missile attack on Israel, Guterres had been content with generalities: “I condemn the widening of the conflict in the Middle East with one escalation after another. This must stop. We absolutely need a ceasefire.”
